Deilai Chaan III
Video CD, Thadou-Kuki, love Songs

Produced & Directed by Haopu Haokip

First, Boulna Vangkho Film productions trademark logo stays during the whole screen time. Second, collection of various hit Thadou-Kuki songs and bring them back “again” approach. These are significant of the company. Like its previous attempt and success, be it Senorita series and Deilai Chaan series, the company have churn out and gain popularity in the world of music which is ever disgruntling; The likes as this deserve it richly a hard-working and rewarding professionalism when there’s none.

Oh! Boinu - Minthang & Lunching

Assortments of singles from various successful artists; Deilai Chaan III bring in together the likes of Maxi Minthang, Kakai Kipgen and Thangzalen among others and debuting sensational Mimin Haokip to the fore. Collection of songs cover albums such as Ka First Letter I & II, Oh My Darling, Sahei, Chavang Lanu and Black Diamond; also including some added new features.

Hoineo @ Rakhi

Hoineo @ Rakhi

The album opened with a sassy number” Oh! Boinu” by Maxi Minthang followed by “Ka First Letter” from the album Ka First Letter and “Lungdei Nu ” from Ka First Letter II. The three numbers were similar, light and assumptive. The duet “Lungset kana chan” by Thangzalen and Mandakini was a smart and discerning affair. Nanga din ka ding det zing nai; nei suonglel lo zen aw sung sweetly with a new gripping tone by Mandikini could be noticed. Kakai kipgen’s “Aahi ihim”, Romeo Mimin Sitlhou’s “Chung Tuo Ni” and Alex Lalcha Kipgen’s “Laidang Lengdin” were expessive and morose. Mimin Haokip’s “Pahoi Nu” culminated the beat but seemed a little less original with contemporary solo and raps in between. Collins paominthang Doungel’s “Rakhi” was indifferent and uncorrupted with lines “Sietlei’ a ka deipen, nang na hi aw Rakhi; Nei ja’hlat ji hih’O ka lungsung leng nu”. Merinda & Beggi appeared in “Lunghla Louvin” and the closing track “Ngaichullou” by a little unknown Freedom Voice was surprisingly singular in styles and sounds.

Thangboi Touthang & Tingnu

The direction and videography were not in inexperienced hands; Haopu Haokip team up with Bel Khaute in this. The collaboration of this two didn’t for sure help much in the overall looks of the video and the editing appeared to be alarmingly overdone. The shiny yellow which shrouded the screen was a minus point in the department. And seriuosly Boulna vangkho Film productions Pvt Ltd needed to do away with the logo presence through-out the videos!

Mimin Haokip

Mimin Haokip

Mimin Haokip, this time round, just walk free as a singer but smoothly and rightly so. The casting of actors, including regulars like John Lalboi who doesn’t improve at all, sum that direction in true sense still need to be realize. The actors mostly are seen doing what and how they saw it to be rather the director himself. Acting, the term, is a massive blah! Amateur performing coupled with exhaustive editing, the screen doesn’t hold you. Minthang and Lunching kissing scene in ” Oh! Boinu” hit solid sloth to success for the album couldn’t be given a miss. Hoineo effortless grace in “Rakhi” and the video depicting romance between the pair are commendable. And “Lungset Kana Chan” is exceptional.

Deilai chaan III have much to offer for Thadou-Kuki love songs lovers, though the video could be ignore in its way. To be straight-forward, it’s time Boulna Vangkho company get serious about professional in this field. And take serious about acting ‘school’ that it stands out to be.
