Reviews of Episodes 50 – 53 telecasted on 22^nd – 25^th August, episodes 54 – 57 telecasted on 29^th August – 1^st September and episodes 58 – 61 telecasted on 5^th – 8^th September 2011.

These three weeks reviews totaling 12 episodes of the Bade Achhe Lagte Hain came very late. Let truth be told, we actually didn’t missed much because the show hardly developed during those time. The first two weeks ended covering Priya and Ram’s wedding and the second week cover the later part of the day after the wedding. Do the math: a) Natasha and Karthik wedding happened at the Kapoors’ place in the first half of the day, and b) the next half of the day, the evening hours were designated for Priya and Ram’s wedding, episode 50 began the tapping, c) the wedding ceremony was concluded by the second week’ episode 57, but not the day, and d) the day was concluded on episode 61, after a week.

As mentioned earlier, the wedding ceremony lasted for two weeks. The first week started as the Sharmas set for the wedding venue. Their humble Maruti 800 failed them mid-way, that all the five seaters separated themselves to two auto-rickshaws. In the meantime, the Kapoors, also set out for the same. Last week, Neharika and others were complaining about the venue for the wedding reception. Here, the week boasted of it. First, on reaching the venue the Sharmas found out that there was an on-going wedding function. On the other side, there was confusion among the Kapoors about the direction to the venue.

The trend being followed here that instead of developing the story; the scene by scene appeasements undertake the footsteps of the weddings. And quite become comfort giving scenes of Priya and Ram together, at least once in the week, at different light. Likewise, Priya guided Ram to the venue. When he reached the gate, Priya told him the situation about the venue: that they were told that the hall will be available for them after it concludes, which means about thirty minutes late. And she asked to delay the baraat and Ram complied.  He didn’t pass the information to his gang, but sent them the wrong way around. Then, both were left together in the street. The scene!

The next week started with the baraat arriving at the venue. The week main focus was the marriage ceremonial services of our protagonists. But the supposed bullet is: The Kapoors’ members dreaded the reception would be poor. The father of the bride was peculiar about the air-conditioner of the hall and had demanded for six to be installed. But the hall have just two, and the hot temperature inside the hall worried the bride’ side while the groom’ side complained. That Neharika intervened and asked Ram to stop the wedding and take the reception at a five star hotel. But Ram deferred saying that he wanted his father-in-law have the same feeling of accomplishment, marrying off a daughter and stayed on.

The marriage rituals were completed and the real- bidaai started the third week.  All bride family members were line-up to come face-to-face with her for the last time. The bride’s father faced up his son-in-law, the mothers of the bride and groom and the elders too share their hearts to each other.

The wedding ceremony is over but the day hasn’t ended yet. Our newlyweds spent their first night at a grand hotel. The next morning both got up late! As Vikram and Neha wanted the couple first night to be romantic, the first night was uncomfortable for the both of them. From the room decorated with red balloons to rose petals covered bed, both shied away from any romantic gestures through the night.

The wedding ceremonials were stretched too long and the two weeks were a disappointment. The third week registered the maximum screen time of the protagonists, traveling to their hotel on car together and the night at the hotel. Even then, weak presentations of the wedding episodes couldn’t be ignored. Well, both Ravinder gautam and Muzammil Desai were transferred to direct Balaji teleflims’ new show Parichay at Colors, by the time. Muzammil Desai stays on to look across and Sangieta Rao to co-directed Bade Achhe Lagte Hain.

During the weeks, the supposed tickling time-bomb – Apeksha plot – didn’t explode. This left me to think that, it wasn’t a bomb at all! Apeksha was successful in sneaking into the wedding venue. But Raghav Sahay, Neharika’s brother, quickly spotted her, and locked her in a room. Then, she tried to call Priya, but wasn’t successful.  Also, the scenes of the wedding were often interlude with the honeymooned couple – Natasha and Karthik.
